Disclosure checks

Nacro’s Disclosure Service provides an Umbrella service for employers and other organisations across all sectors wanting to carry out Disclosure Criminal record checks on positions exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

If you are interested in using the service to carry out your checks, we will discuss your needs, the service we offer, and the requirements that must be met in order to comply with the legislation around Disclosures in general and the Disclosure Code of Practice in particular. Where practical, we will meet with you to discuss matters and support you in making any necessary changes to your practice and procedures.

The cost of a Standard Disclosure is £31 and an Enhanced Disclosure is £36. Checks on volunteers are free. In addition, we will make an administrative charge of £15 plus VAT on every check we make, on both paid and voluntary positions.
